On 20 November 2022, the Container Vessel "SC PHILLY" (GT 9,957 – DWT 14,000), partly laden with containers, experienced main engine problems in Gulf of Almeria, Spain.
Despite all difficulties in locating an "all weather" powerful tug, Tsavliris despatched the AHT "KOLGA" (BHP 16,316 – BP 208) on the same day.

On 9 November 2022, the Ro-Ro "ANTONIOS M" (GT 493), experienced main engine problems and was towed from Rio, Greece, to Piraeus Roads by Tsavliris' T/B "HERMES (BHP 2,725 - BP 41). On 11 November, the convoy arrived safely at destination and the operation was successfully completed.

Thousands of runners, cyclists and sailors joined forces for an epic, record breaking 7,767 km non-stop relay through 18 countries (from Scotland to Egypt) and helped deliver a message on climate action to the world’s leaders at COP27! CYMEPA President Mr George Tsavliris, CYMEPA friends and associates participated in the world's greatest climate change relay, the “Running Out of Time” race on 31 October 2022.

On 2 October 2022, the Bulk Carrier "MADRID" (GT 19,999 - DWT 30,900), laden with 25,000 tonnes of wheat, grounded at km 342 Parana River, Argentina, during downriver navigation. The vessel was en route from San Lorenzo, Argentina, to Liverpool, UK. Tsavliris mobilised two salvage tugs and a salvage master to her assistance.

The 13th Hydra Shipping Conference was successfully organised on 17 September 2022 with the title: "ARE WE EXPERIENCING THE OTHER SIDE OF MIDNIGHT?". The event was attended by leading Greek shipowners, senior executives of shipping companies and companies operating in the shipping industry, consultants, academics and members of historical shipping families of Hydra. Conference president was George A. Tsavliris.

On 3 September 2022, the Motor Yacht "007" struck rocks off Kythnos Island, Greece, and was beached at the nearby Kolones Bay. Tsavliris proceeded to the assistance of the casualty.

TSAVLIRIS SALVAGE has been shortlisted for the "Salvage Company of the Year Award 2022" category of the 26th International Tug & Salvage Convention, Exhibition & Awards (ITS2022).

CYMEPA's 30th anniversary Gala event took place on 7 July 2022, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol, under the auspices of H.E. The President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr Nicos Anastasiades.

On 17 April 2022, the Bulk Carrier "MAGIC SEAS" (GT 35,812 – DWT 63,500), laden with 60,500 tonnes of petroleum coke, sustained loss of propeller about 170 miles E of the Bermuda Islands. The vessel was en route from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Izmir, Turkey.
Tsavliris despatched the AHTS "ALP WINGER" (BHP 19,000 – BP 218) from the port of Algeciras, Spain. The salvage operation was completed successfully and lasted eight weeks.

On 16 June 2022, the Tsavliris Cultural Foundation scholarship was awarded to the Masters graduate student Elpida Agapitou during a ceremony at the offices of the Archeological Research Division of the University of Cyprus.

The 7th Posidonia Shipsoccer Tournament, took place on Sunday 5 June 2022 at the Star Sport Club, Voula in a spectacular day full of action. The unique soccer event brought together the shipping community from all sectors of the maritime industry. The 28 teams played in 4 groups of 7 teams each. Tsavliris participated with their own team organised by Alexander A. Tsavliris.

POSIDONIA 2022, the largest meeting place for the Greek and international shipping community takes place from 6 to 10 June in Athens. Apart from the international exhibition, the accompanying program provides high-profile conferences, receptions and parties, seminars and technical workshops, sailing/golf games and more.

Στην εκδήλωση μίλησε ο κ. Γιώργος Τσαβλίρης.

The new campaign by the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA) to enhance safety awareness among seafarers, sailors, fishermen, captains and crew of pleasure boats and sailboat skippers and to insist on adhering to safety regulations was presented on 11 May 2022. Mr George Tsavliris, CYMEPA Chairman, attended the event.
