On 1 April 2017, the LPG Tanker "GEMINI GAS" (GT 7,082 – DWT 9,490) experienced fire in the engine room about 132 miles south-east of Salalah, Oman. During the incident the vessel was on passage from Khorfakkan, UAE to Port Sudan, laden with 4.400 tonnes of LPG mixed. The salvage team completed all necessary works in the engine room and the casualty was redelivered on 21 April.

During the incident the vessel was on passage from Rosario to Saudi Arabia (via Bahia Blanca) laden with 46,500 tonnes of grain (28,500 tonnes of corn and 18,000 tonnes of soya beans).
On 4 April, Tsavliris’ local salvage master boarded the vessel while tugs "COOPER ESTIBADOR" and "RANQUEL" were mobilised from San Lorenzo and Rosario respectively. The vessel refloated successfully and proceeded to anchorage area.
On 25 March 2017, Tsavliris dispatched the AHT "DUTCH POWER" (3,200 BHP – 45 TBP) from Rotterdam to the assistance of the motor reefer "SCANDINAVIAN REEFER" (GT 7,944 – DWT 11,054), laden with refrigerated products. The vessel had anchored in North Sea, 45 miles from Flushing, following a mechanical breakdown.
On 26 March, the convoy arrived safely at destination, the casualty was delivered to port tugs and berthed at "OPTICOOL BERTH ROTTERDAM". The "DUTCH POWER" was released and moored at Lekhaven.

Tsavliris Salvage Group held their traditional Christmas Cocktail Reception at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London, on 8 December 2016. With about 330 key players from various sectors of the shipping community attending, the annual event is a Christmas highlight for the London Maritime Community.

TSAVLIRIS SALVAGE sponsored for the 12th consecutive year the Lloyd's List Greek Shipping Awards which were presented at a successful dinner event on Friday 2 December 2016 at the Athenaeum InterContinental Hotel in Athens.
Natalia Tsavliris - Vasilopoulos presented the "Seafarer of the Year" Award to Captain Diamantis Papageorgiou, master of Hellenic Seaways ferry "Nissos Rodos".
On 7 October 2016, the Chemical/Products Tanker "KIRSTIN" (GT 30,006 – DWT 50,078) whilst discharging palm oil at Chittagong anchorage suffered stern tube damage/leakage due to contact with another vessel.
On 8 November, upon completion of discharge, towage commenced and the convoy arrived safely at Singapore on 16 November where the vessel was delivered to dry dock tugs.
On 1 November 2016, the Products Tanker "SPOTTAIL" (GT 40,975 – DWT 74,997) on passage from Singapore to Sri Lanka, in ballast condition, ran aground on the north coast of Pulau Takong Besar, Indonesia. The port authority of Batam claimed reef and fish farm damage.
On 2 November, Tsavliris Salvage were contracted to provide salvage services.
On the occasion of the celebration of 80 years of the Piraeus Branch of the Propeller Club, special awards were presented to Past Presidents for their contribution to the growth of the Club. The ceremony took place during the annual Amver Awards on 31 October 2016. Mr Nicolas A. Tsavliris who served as President of the Propeller Club from 2007 to 2009 was honoured with the Propeller Club Special Award.

On 1 October the "TSAVLIRIS HELLAS" arrived at the casualty's position and commenced escorting towards the discharging port Pembroke, UK.
