Tsavliris Salvage celebrated its new venture in China with its Chinese partners, Kamji Marine International, hosting a special Reception at the Yacht Club of Greece on Tuesday, 18 November. Guests were able to absorb the stunning views and also enjoy the excellent Oolong teas from China before the Cocktail Reception.
Guests included the Minister of Shipping, Maritime Affairs and the Aegean, Mr Miltiades Varvitsiotis and the Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Greece, Mr Liwei Sun, as well as many notable figures from the Greek Shipping Industry.
Mr George A. Tsavliris was certified as a Mediator by the Greek Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights in September 2014. This follows on from Mr Tsavliris’ successful completion of the Civil and Commercial Mediator Programme with ADR Group in London 2009.

In 2008 she was transferred to Greece and after repairs she was converted into a maritime museum. Liberty ships represent the history of the resurgence of the Greek merchant shipping fleet following the end of the War. Tsavliris Salvage Group was involved in the towage of the ship from Norfolk, Virginia USA to Piraeus port.
Tsavliris Salvage is a member of the Club "Friends of Liberty" and in May 2014, Mr Nicolas A. Tsavliris, Principal of Tsavliris Salvage Group, became a Member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at the Association of Friends of the Museum Ship “HELLAS LIBERTY".

Alexander G. Tsavliris (1914-1973) was inducted into the Greek Shipping Hall of Fame at the inaugural London event on Monday 24th March 2014.
Mr. George A. Tsavliris was invited as as panelist to the 13th P&I Conference that took place at the Piraeus Marine Club on the 30th of January 2014. The theme Mr Tsavliris' was asked to present was: “This House Believes Club Reserves Are too High In A period When Members Are Faced With A Depressed Freight Market.”
