On 7 June 2016 Tsavliris Salvage took part in the Zhoushan Maritime Event, hosted by the Zhoushan Municipal People's Government, China.
During the event at the Athens Divani Caravel Hotel, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Tsavliris Salvage and Zhoushan Port Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee regarding the creation of a salvage network in Chinese waters.
The "6th Blue Shipping Summit 2016" was held on 6 June, the opening day of the Posidonia 2016 Exhibition, at the Athens Hilton Hotel. The landmark event was sponsored this year by Tsavliris Salvage.
The conference was titled "Salvaging the Environment" and focused on future trends and challenges of the shipping industry with a particular emphasis on the new regulations as well as implementation of global environmental issues in shipping today.
Tsavliris Salvage participated in the Marine Traffic seminar on 9 June at the Posidonia Exhibition 2016. The seminar focused on AIS (Automatic Identification System) and the benefits it offers to the global maritime industry. Captain George Polychroniou, Operations Manager at Tsavliris Salvage, explained the benefits of AIS to the shipping community and Tsavliris Group in particular.
Alexandros A. Tsavliris of TSAVLIRIS SALVAGE GROUP took part in the Posidonia 2016 Tennis Tournament with tennis partner Apostolos Kaltis of Neptune Lines which was hosted by Ken Scott of Winter Scott and Louise Glover of E.G. Arghyrakis & Co., at Vouliagmeni Tennis Club on Tuesday 7 June 2016. The dynamic duo was successful in winning the Cup out of a group of around 20 couples.
Tsavliris Salvage Group took part in the Charity Rowing Competition held by Hill Dickinson on 26 May 2016 at the picturesque Microlimano in Kastella and came first winning the gold medal.

-On 15 February 2016 Tsavliris mobilised the AHTS "Resolve Earl" (12,000 BHP – 135 TBP) from Freeport Bahamas to the assistance of the Motor Tanker "KRITI AMBER" (GT 31,330 – DWT 45,614).
-On 25 February 2016, Tsavliris Salvage mobilized the tug "Ona Don Lorenzo" (5,500 BHP – 62 TBP) from Buenos Aires, Argentina to the assistance of the Bulk Carrier "ALKIMOS HERACLES" (GT 43,007, DWT 81,992).
-On 26 February 2016, Tsavliris Salvage were engaged to provide technical assistance to the Capesize Bulk Carrier "NEW KATERINA" (GT 85,590 – DWT 170,082).
Tsavliris Salvage supports "Project Connect Athens", an organisation that provides concrete guidance and assistance to the new generation that wishes to enter the shipping industry. It encourages aspiring professionals that may be otherwise troubled with the volatile times in Greece.
On 26 February 2016, Tsavliris Salvage were engaged to provide technical assistance to the Capesize Bulk Carrier “NEW KATERINA” (GT 85,590 – DWT 170,082) fully laden with iron ore, grounded at KM 69 in the Suez Canal. Tsavliris Salvage provided technical consultancy/support including planning, surveillance and risk assessment.
On 25 February 2016, Tsavliris Salvage mobilized the tug “Ona Don Lorenzo” (5,500 BHP – 62 TBP) from Buenos Aires, Argentina to the assistance of the Bulk Carrier “ALKIMOS HERACLES” (GT 43,007, DWT 81,992) partly laden with 50,000 tons of iron ore, grounded at KM 27, Canal Punta Indio.
Later on that day, the vessel refloated by own means, whereupon the tug was instructed to return to Buenos Aires.
“ALKIMOS HERACLES” proceeded to Recalada outer anchorage for routine inspection by the Coast Guard.
The "2016 Capital Link Greek Shipping Leadership Award" was awarded to the three Tsavliris Brothers of Tsavliris Salvage Group, in recognition of their unique and extensive contribution to Shipping and Greece and for their overall outstanding service to the maritime industry. The Capital Link's 7th Annual Greek Shipping Forum was held on 16 February 2016 in Athens.

On 16 February, the “Resolve Earl” arrived at casualty’s position and towage to Matanzas Cuba commenced.
On 17 February the convoy safely arrived at Matanzas (outside of Cuban territorial waters) and the tow was delivered to port tugs.
The “Resolve Earl” was released and arrived at Freeport on 18 February.

On 13 January the S/T “MEGAS ALEXANDROS” arrived at casualty’s position, established towage connection and towed the casualty towards Greece.
The convoy arrived safely at Piraeus roads on 15 January and the tow was delivered to port tugs.
