30 Jan 2026 Bulk Carrier “COMMON CALYPSO”

In January 2026, the Bulk Carrier “COMMON CALYPSO” (GT 32,987 - DWT 57,000), laden with Brazilian soyabeans, experienced a main engine problem and was drifting 10 nm E of Salomon Islands, Indian Ocean. On 10 January, Tsavliris mobilised a salvage tug to the assistance of the vessel.

25 Jan 2026 Drillship “DISCOVERER INDIA”

On 23 January 2026, Tsavliris assisted in the exit of the Drillship “DISCOVERER INDIA” (GT 65,790 - DWT 63,583) from Platygiali Port, Astakos, Greece, using three of its Patras-based tugs “PROTEAS”, “APOLLON” and “HERMES”.

16 Jan 2026 New Year pita-cutting event 2026

TSAVLIRIS GROUP celebrated their New Year's "Pita Cutting" event on 16 January 2026. The occasion included the traditional annual blessing and was attended by the TSAVLIRIS family and staff.

22 Dec 2025 LPG Carrier “ECO WIZARD”

In December 2025, Tsavliris towed the LPG Carrier “ECO WIZARD” (GT  26252 - DWT 30062) from Ust Luga, Russia to Riga, Latvia. The casualty was hit on 6 July 2025 by limpet mines which caused two explosions and considerable damage to its hull and engines. Before towage, the casualty had only undergone temporary repairs.

13 Dec 2025 Hellas Liberty Welcomes the U.S. Ambassador

 On 9 December 2025, the U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Ms. Kimberly Guilfoyle visited the historic museum ship “Hellas Liberty" at the Port of Piraeus. Ms Guilfoyle was welcomed by the Minister of Shipping, Mr. Vassilis Kikilias, the President of the “Hellas Liberty”, Mr George Tsavliris and members of the “Friends of Liberty Association”.

12 Dec 2025 Global Salvage and Wreck Forum

Alexander A. Tsavliris participated in the Global Salvage & Wreck Forum 2025, on 10-11 December, in London. He received an enthusiastic reaction during his presentation on the successful salvage of the 47-metre Perini Sailing Yacht "TAMARITA" stranded in July 2024 off Paxoi Island, Ionian Sea, Greece, in an environmentally sensitive area.

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Greek Branch held its 20th Annual Forum, on 12 November 2024, with the theme “20 years of dialogue in Shipping”. The Greek Shipping Co-operation Committee (GSCC) celebrated the 90th anniversary of its founding during an event held, on 12 November 2025, at the historic Goldsmith's Hall in London. Andreas Tsavliris, elected member in the Council of the Greek Shipping Co-operation Committee for about 40 consecutive years, represented Tsavliris Salvage Group.

The General Cargo Vessel "AST RISING" (GT 4,109 – DWT 6,086), laden with steel pipes, experienced steering failure off Recife, Brazil, while en route from Recife, Brazil to Soyo, Angola. On 12 August 2025, Tsavliris mobilised the AHTS "Skandi Master" from Recife, Brazil, and on 16 August towage to Luanda, Angola, commenced.

31 Aug 2025 MV "WILSON FINNFJORD"

The General Cargo Vessel "WILSON FINNFJORD" (GT 3,561 – DWT 4,518), laden with steel pipes, was drifting off Kefalonia Island, Greece due to loss of propulsion. On 30 August 2025, Tsavliris mobilised their Patras-based S/T "HERMES" and towed the vessel to Patras Port.

07 Jul 2025 Tsavliris supports the NAVY WEEK 2025

Navy Week 2025 was celebrated in most Greek Ports and the Patras Port Authority welcomed on 2 July the two leading units in the Hellenic Navy: the Submarine "OKEANOS" (S-118) and the Frigate "ADRIAS" (F 459).
The impressive arrival of the Submarine "OKEANOS", one of the most powerful submarines of the Hellenic Navy, was assisted by Tsavliris' Patras-based tugs "PROTEAS" and "HERMES".
