On 11 March 2023, the Egyptian Ambassador to Greece Omar Amer Youssef together with the First Secretary Ahmed El-Ghoul hosted a select delegation, comprising business leaders from vital sectors of Greek industry, to discuss matters of mutual cooperation.

The successful 6th Annual Capital Link Shipping Conference took place in Limassol, Cyprus on 7 March 2023 under the auspices of the Republic of Cyprus and the Ministry of Shipping. Chairman of this important conference was George A. Tsavliris.

On 25 January 2023, the Bulk Carrier "MV ABILITY" (GT 36,757 - DWT 64,253), laden with 55,000 tonnes of wheat, was immobilised due to fuel ( sub-zero temp) solidification, 350 miles NE of Kuril Islands, Japan in the North Pacific Ocean. Tsavliris despatched the tug “LIAN HE QI RUI” from Shanghai, China to the assistance of the vessel.

Members of the International Salvage Union (ISU) provided 186 services to vessels carrying 2.6 million tonnes of potentially polluting cargo and fuel during operations in 2022. It clearly shows the critical role of professional salvors in protecting the marine environment.
