Tsavliris Salvage is officially a licensed member of Marine Emergency Mutual Aid Centre (MEMAC), a marine environmental, intergovernmental organisation based in Bahrain, whose mission is to ensure the environmental protection of the ROPME sea area. The ROPME sea area consists of eight Member States: Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The new collaboration strengthens Tsavliris position in this highly regulated area and will utilise its significant experience through a wide range of services related to marine salvage and towage. On 23 December 2019, the Bulk Carrier "EDELWEISS" (GT 40,160 – DWT 73,800), loaded with 71,627 tonnes of Indonesian steam coal, ran aground about 200 miles from Taboneo, Indonesia. During the incident the vessel was on a voyage from Taboneo, Indonesia to Yeosu, South Korea, with about 1,500 tonnes bunkers onboard.
Tsavliris were contracted to provide salvage assistance. On 9 March 2020, the 10-week salvage operation was completed successfully.
A six-month operation started at the end of October 2019, when the geared Bulk Carrier “FIRST I’’(GT 32,415 - DWT 58,735) sustained rudder damage disabling her in Suez canal. During the incident the vessel was fully laden with 56,000 tonnes of wheat.
Tsavliris were contracted to tow the vessel from Suez Canal to Indonesia and later to Singapore.

Andreas Tsavliris gave his annual lecture at the City University of London to over 130 master's degree students on 23 January 2020. The presentation was on "Shipping Trade & Finance" and the topics discussed included the ordering of new buildings, buying and selling second hand vessels, chartering, insurance, banking, financing and currencies.

The ceremony took place during the 15th ICS Annual Forum on 10 December 2019.
