The 2008 pita cutting is a major & traditional celebration for TSAVLIRIS SALVAGE GROUP which, as usual, took place at the premises of the Piraeus-based international salvage group with present all employees, dear friends and close associates.

In his speech, Mr. Nicolas A. Tsavliris commented on the excellent closure of 2007 with important and remarkable cases. He referred to the various events the Group was a Sponsor such as the Annual ICS Conference, the Amver Awards Dinner, the WISTA Annual Forum & the Lloyd's List Greek Shipping Awards. In addition, it was a great success for the Group being recognized for the continuous efforts for the protection of the environment and safety thus resulting to be awarded with the Achievement In Safety Or Environmental Protection Award. He warmly welcomed the employees who joined the group during previous year as well as the third generation, wishing all successful careers.

In view of the withdrawal of S/T "FOTIY KRYLOV", the Group's plans for new purchases were confirmed, aside from the purchase of few months ago of S/T "TSAVLIRIS HELLAS" where successfully operates in South Africa. The ceremony also included a blessing with holy water by a priest and in conclusion, he honored Mr. Petros Katavolos, Head of Accounting Department, who recently retired after 27 years with the Group. A reception took place immediately after the end of the ceremony where the guests & the employees enjoyed a pleasant & festive event.
